The Bedrock AI advantage - state-of-the-art financial AI

Bedrock AI was founded in early 2020 as a financial AI research team. We went through a year-long research phase before we launched our first financial AI product in April 2021. Our team continues to innovate and bring forward new advances in natural language processing.

Our unique capabilities include financial domain adaptation, boilerplate/noise suppression, representation learning, few-shot learning, and most importantly text ranking for relevance and importance. Learn more about these capabilities and how they improve the quality of our products and AI-output here.
Frequently asked questions (FAQ)
Bedrock AI versus ChatGPT and other generative AI chatbots

The Bedrock AI output is actually true! One of the biggest failures of generative AI chatbots is that they “hallucinate”, which means they make up plausible sounding false information. For instance, if you ask ChatGPT for the name of the auditor at a public company, it will likely give you the name of a Big Four auditor but often not the correct Big Four audit firm. This is a feature of generative AI bots and isn’t a problem that will be solved any time soon.
Bedrock AI proprietary models also have a better understanding of financial concepts. For instance, OpenAI models often misunderstand simple financial concepts like what is a “business segment” and how that differs from a “user segment”.
Finally, Bedrock AI is NOT a foundational language model. We are a software application. We use multiple foundational models in our work, some of which are proprietary and some of which are adapted versions of open source models. For instance, our AI-generated investment memos involve six different language models and a 32-step pipeline. This is different from GPT-4, for instance, which is one of many foundational language models (a very large and very impressive one).

Bedrock AI vs. BloombergGPT
While a direct comparison to BloombergGPT is impossible since the model is not publicly available, it is important to note that BloombergGPT reports training their models on 3k+ SEC filings. Bedrock has completed pre-training on 200k+ SEC filings, 65 times more than BloombergGPT.
As mentioned above, Bedrock AI is not a foundational language model while BloombergGPT is. We use multiple foundational models in our work, some of which are proprietary and some of which are adapted versions of open source models. For instance, our AI-generated investment memos involve six different language models and a 32-step pipeline.
How can I trust that the information is true?

We offer a factuality guarantee. We’re able to do this by strictly limiting the role of third-party generative AI. Most of the heavy lifting is done by our own proprietary models, rather than outsourcing to third-party APIs.
Is my data safe? My organization prohibits interaction with AI chatbots.
